Porsche’s Heritage Design Edition series continues with the 2022 Porsche 911 Sports.
It is inspired by the original 911 and the 911 Carrera RS 2.7, and it harkens back to Porsche’s famous 1960s-1970s period.
There’s no time to spend if Porsche fans are interested in this immaculate limited-edition vehicle.
It will be accessible in the United States for the 2023 model year, but just 1,250 examples will be made available globally.

It’s the second Porsche Heritage Design Edition model, after the 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition, which debuted in 2020.
The wide-body layout of the 911 Turbo S (minus the side air intakes in the rear fenders), the double-bubble top of the original 911 (997-gen) Sports Classic, and the famous ducktail of the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 are all combined into one really unique car in this Sports Classic.
Sport Grey Metallic, Agate Grey Metallic, Gentian Blue Metallic, and Black are the four colors offered for the Sports Classic.
Light Sport Grey will be used for the lollipop, side text, and double racing stripes, which will complement any color scheme.
A 1963 Crest, a gold-plated Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur plaque, a Heritage Design plaque, and gold-colored emblems may be seen on the outside.
If that wasn’t enough, 911 Sports Classic owners will be able to buy a limited-edition Porsche Design titanium timepiece to match their car.
“The Style Porsche design department is collaborating with Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur to reimagine famous 911 models and equipment from the 1950s to the 1980s, and to resuscitate design aspects from those decades,” said Alexander Fabig, Vice President of Individualization and Classic.
Modern conveniences and increased performance balance the classic aesthetic.
Although it uses the same 3.7-liter twin-turbo flat-six as the 911 Turbo models (capable of 543 horsepower and 442 lb.-ft. of torque), the rear wheels are driven by a seven-speed manual gearbox.
Furthermore, the updated engine mapping enables the output to work with the new gearbox.
All of this adds up to the most powerful 911 model available today.
In layman’s words, this sports automobile can go from zero to sixty miles per hour in 4.1 seconds.
The two-toned leather interior with Pepita upholstery is enhanced by the speed and sleek appearance.
With all the Sports Classic has to offer, Porsche’s Heritage Design Edition line has hit another home run.
